Au Pair Storytime

It's that time of year where as an au pair - you either realize you love your family - or you hate them. October/November is notoriously known for being the time a lot of people get fired. Harsh, I know, but I've been in your shoes. Now I'm all one for optimism but I've been through this too many times to act as if it doesn't happen. It goes a little something like this.

May/June: You interview with families.

June/July: You've found your host family!

August/September: You arrive in Paris! Exciting.

October/November/Decemeber:.... I think I hate them/I think they hate me. Rematch PLEASE.

I'm here to tell you that you're not alone and there are many others in the same boat as you. I recommend reaching out on Facebook groups for help or trying again! However, I wanted to share some of my anecdotal stories of being an au pair, in hopes that they'll help you through. :)
